At 'Evans Gate, we give our guests the choice to be as public or private as they want to be. There are plenty of group or solo activities available both in the lodge and outside in the great outdoors.

HUNTING*

Welcome to Deer hunter's paradise. The expansive acreage is filled with dense forest, streams, and ponds and is prime southern Iowa hunting ground which abounds in white tail deer, mule deer and wild turkey.

There are plenty of varieties of birds including bald eagles, red tail hawks, goldfinches and indigo buntings. Don't miss out on the "Hummingbird wars" during the summer!
