OUR STORY

Hello! We are Bernie and Kristi Evans. Welcome to 'Evans Gate. When we were first married way last century, one of our goals was to buy 40 acres of hills and trees, build a little cabin out in the middle of it.  Over the past 45+ years our dream has come true.  We overshot the 40 acres a bit as well as the size of the cabin and now we are inviting everyone to come on down and share our little slice of Heaven.

'evans Gate was built on the farm where Bernie's mom grew up.  The farm has been in the family since the late 1800's and has grown to over 1200 acres. We look forward to helping you find your missing peace at 'evans Gate Bed and Breakfast.

"Five days in heaven. That is the only way I could describe our visit to ‘evans Gate. As a family we have stayed a lot of places and done a a lot of traveling. But ‘evans Gate by far is the best place we have ever stayed. The food is mind blowing, the beds are incredibly comfy and the bathrooms are too. The showers are perfect. 10/10 I'D choose a visit to ‘evans Gate any day!"

"We spent a few days with Kristi and Bernie and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house is beautiful and has room for all you will need. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, had a private bathroom, and our hosts (now friends) were accommodating to our needs. The breakfasts were excellent and coffee available as desired. We enjoyed the porches, the fishing pond, library, game room, morning room, and so much more!" - Allyn Tock
